Use case
Polylane for a small studio or agency
Each client is a project. Each deliverable type is a channel. The week lands on one calendar you can staff.

Read this part first
Polylane is a single-operator planner today. Shared workspaces belong to the Studio plan, and Studio is a founding waitlist, not something you can buy and log into. Nobody shares a board with you yet.
So this page is for you if you run the schedule yourself — a solo operator, a founder who still owns delivery, or a studio lead who plans the week and hands out the work elsewhere. It is also for you if you are mapping how you want a team to work later. If you need several people editing one plan this week, Polylane is not there.
Clients down one axis, deliverables across the other
Agency work is two-dimensional and most planners are one-dimensional. You are not running a list of tasks, you are running six clients against five kinds of deliverable, and the thing you need to see is where those two collide this week.
In Polylane, every client is a project: a retainer account, a one-off build, an internal rebrand of your own site. Every deliverable type is a channel: design, copy, build, review, handover. The grid gives you one cell per client per deliverable, so a client with nothing in the build column is visible at a glance rather than discovered on Thursday.
Link the work that moves together
A campaign is rarely one task. Copy, design, and build ship as a batch, and when the client pushes the launch date, the whole batch moves.
Link those tasks once and they move together after that. Reschedule the batch and every linked piece follows, so a slipped date costs you one drag instead of an afternoon of rework across three lists.
Then drop the week on a calendar
Drag work from the grid onto a day. That is where an agency week stops being a wish: five clients each wanting "something small" adds up to a real number of hours, and the calendar shows it before you promise it.
Matrix, link, calendar. That is the whole loop, and it is the same loop whether you are planning one client or nine.
Three ways to look at the same week
Overview is the working grid — clients against deliverables. Flow shows the sequence, which is what you want when a client asks why handover cannot happen before review. The Graph view shows the linked batches as a network, which is the fastest way to spot a client whose work all depends on one blocked piece.
What a studio needs from the paid plan
Free gives you 2 projects, the default channels plus 2 custom ones, calendar scheduling, and task linking. That is two clients, on one device, with no cloud sync and no calendar export. It is enough to test whether the grid matches how you think.
Client work usually breaks past that quickly. Solo removes the caps — unlimited projects and channels, so every client and every deliverable type gets its own lane — and adds the two things a working studio leans on: cloud sync across devices, and .ics export so the schedule reaches the calendar you already live in. Solo is $19/mo or $180/yr (₹499/mo incl. GST), with a 14-day trial. A founding rate may be open — the pricing page shows the current one.
Studio is a waitlist, not a plan you can buy
The shared workspace plan — Studio, $39/mo (₹1,999/mo incl. GST), up to 5 seats — is a founding waitlist. Team features are not live. We are not selling seats to a workspace that does not exist, and we are not going to quote you a ship date we cannot hold.
If a shared workspace is the thing that would make this work for your studio, join the founding waitlist on the pricing page. It tells us how much of the roadmap should be team work, and you hear from us when there is something real to try.
What is not here yet
Google Calendar sync is push only, from Polylane to Google. Events you create in Google do not come back. If your studio runs on shared Google calendars, plan around one-way traffic.
There is no mobile app, so scheduling happens at a desk. There are no integrations or importers, so moving an existing client board in is manual. There are no AI features. If any of those is the deciding factor, this is the wrong tool for you this quarter, and we would rather say so than take the first month.
